More Civs?

Is there any way to have more than 7 civs in a game?

The answer is no. Some people sort of use the barbarians as an 8th civ, but they are not a real civ. The game engine simply was not built for more than 7 tribes at a time.

Yeah, you could use the barbarians as "the 8th civ". I'd just put in the major power and lump the others as the barbarians. Is this in relation to your World War: Colonization scenerio? I for one am looking forward to it.

You can hack the game and use barbs as 8th civ, but i'm afraid AI can't use them properly.

It's sufficient for some roles in a scenario...

Well, in the Col series, at the end the French get their own state after the Reich is beaten by The Race. I was hoping to some how get the French to take over the french cities again. That's why I needed another civ. Oh, well, it doesn't really matter.

I was gonna use the 7th civ, the Indians, as the French, but went with partisan forces, and just grouped the red chinese and Khomeini's jihad guys together.
