More Flexable Speed Options

i wish the speed options where more defined then just multiplying every single variable. for example what if i want to play a game with the research of marathon but the unit production of quick?

i like how Empire Earth 2 handeled game speed, by having the player actualy type in the multiplier for several different things; research time, unit production time, building time, hit points, and so on
 
you can do it with a Mod, I am sure. I know there mod around that let you modify research cost.
 
i know theres a mod, im just saying it would be better to have this option supported from the devloper's side
 
There isn't a mod, but a very feasible option is to teach yourself how to understand the gamespeed XML file and simply make your own speed, a sort of DIY for CIV gamers.
 
ive seen the mod with my own two eyes(actualy its more of a utility program that edits XML files for you)

but like i said lets keep this on the list for civ 5, if people dont complain about stuff because theres a mod that will fix the problem, then how will the devlopers know its even a problem
 
It isn't a problem since they made all the data available to change. In 15 minutes you can have a custom version that works the way you want it to, not the way they want it to.
