More Ideas

Give a vampire a % each turn to gain a 'thirst' promotion.
thirst:
- allows the unit to 'feed' on a unit at same tile, sacrificing it.
- feeding dispells the thirst.
- gives the vampire -X strenght (minimaly 1),

That should give incentive to have plenty of live fodder around. :p

filthy zombies, they are totally unsavory! unedible! yuck.
leave them for the ghouls... I'd rather starve.
Ghouls smell like rotten meat and taste after carrion, but at least their blood is running hot.

I think the vampires should have to watch their step until they are able to get necromancers to start building their skeletal/zombie versions of warriors, archers, militia etc. I think it would really simulate the threat that the sylvanians pose, going from being some backwoods place to suddenly having a horde of undead minions!!!!!!

Vampires can raise troops too though. I think if we make it so that each guy can only raise 1 per turn, but dont really limit the total amount each one can have, then the Vamps will have to hide back building up their numbers before an attack, but if they lose faster than they can raise they might be in trouble...

maybe they could be forced to only be able to draft/conscript troops?

Funnily enough the Von Carstiens still call themselves Electors... and still consider themselves the legitimate masters of Slyvanian Peasants... and even more bizzarely the Slyvanian peasants actually consider them to be there masters...

And they did use the State armies of Slyvania at the start of there mad dash towards power...

As to mechanics these troops would not be upgradable past a certain point and could probably be quite abit weaker...

Heh or better yet be eligible for the ultimate upgrade...the final upgrade they would ever need...

I guess that would be one heck of an investment, the vampire player just waiting for the proper techs so he/she can turn them all into skellies!

That is an ace idea. MMMMM Human fodder :p

Hmm forbidden serf donuts.

but will the AI be able to use it reliably and plan for it?
nb build the almost useless serfs in preparation to disspelling the hunger of vampires...
and does it persieve the difference between nerf and buff promotions?
will it disspell nerfs?

sorry to be a spoilsport. ;)

Here are my thoughts.

I agree the Vamps should have Human fodder. I suggest that they should always have the ability to build one or two low level units. For the sake of human players, the Vamps should have that thirst promotion that A_H mentioned. But gettin the AI to understand it might suck. The bulk of the Vamp armies should be cannon fodder imo. (As we all know, the AI will make it almost all cannon fodder. AI doesn't like to upgrade. WIMPS!)

Question. Are the Counts the only units that can be Vampires? Or can they pass it on to other units? (Although, I think for simplicity's sake that we should go with wat I say below. It eliminates the whole 'which unit do I pass vampirism onto' thing.)

I think that there should be a UU added much like the Calabim Vampire in FfH. But Sylvania should only be able to build five of them. That would fill out the minor nobility of Sylvania and not make it so jus the Counts themselves are the only Vampires.

The permanent war thing I disagree with. I think that the evil civs havin the large negatives towards the good and visaversa would work better. One thing to point out tho, when I play as the DEs, the HEs have a positive for our shared religion. This makes no sense, as the DE mainly worship Khaine and certain aspects of the other Chaos gods. And, of course, the HEs worship Isha and Kurnous. So, I think that between the DEs and HEs that positive should be removed. (Of course, that positive also is present with the WEs and should be removed for the same reasons.)

Same wid Rockwhatever but include the Lahmia too!!!

Hmm forbidden serf donuts.

Hmm forbidden serf donuts...

Instead of Bloodpets from FFH2 make the workers the walking bloodbanks...after it takes food to make these guys...and yes it also take hammers...*SIGH*

Course that means (in my ever so arrogantly humble opinion) you should either start the Vampire bastards (n' . .. .. .. .. .es i.e Lahmians) with extra workers (hmm...forbidden serf donuts...) or food resources...and I don't mean "food" resources yo! (okay I mean corn or wheat for those thickoes)

Kurnous is a wood elf deity yo!

correctimundo. as is Isha. although HE also worship them in small sections of ulthuan.

If I remember correctly the Everqueen of Ulthuan is Isha incarnate, though that this point I am d**** and have no access to materials. I can tell you though that Kurnous worshippers can get access to some crazy animal companions, including dragons!

Okay lets end the Naggaroth debate... if you want a bigger Naggaroth either make it or come to me to see to see if i still have the old World Map with a large Naggaroth okay?

PL's mini-mod map is not the be all and end all.

We are happy with the shape of it and dont PL's approval pending want to change it much so maybe debate can be kept to resources etc.

EDIT: Wrong thread, but the rule holds
