More important: Ram or video card?

I have a 1.4GHz AMD rig with 512MB ram and a GeForce 3 MX 64MB video card. Game runs... well alright, it's playable, but it's sort of choppy at times. Which upgrade would increase performance more, a 128MB video card, or doubling the ram to a gig? This is the only game worth upgrading my computer to improve, but I'd rather keep it to one or the other rather than both. Any thoughts are appreciated.

hey.. i have 1.3Ghz AMD with 256 RAM and GeForce 4MX 64MB.. Do you think I can run it too?

I've been told that getting more RAM wouldn't help with the processors we have?

I don't know, I'm inclined to think that ram won't help much either, since I think the choppiness is due to the rendering. It takes FOREVER to start a new game for me, but that's not a huge deal, and the bulk of the game plays relatively well. I just want it smoother.

Ok cool. I might upgrade my RAM to 516MB but no more and see how I go with that. Hopefully it should be ok.
