I've never played Stellaris. Not really a huge fan of Sci-Fi and prefer the planet based approach rather than space. However what I did like was how organic and alive they made the universe feel. I think they managed this through the use of AI traits which we kind of see with the Civ Vi personalities.

However i would like to make it so that the AI have more differences between them than we currently have in Civ Vi. Randomly handing out bonuses and negatives.

So taking a standard map size with 8 empires. I like the idea of advanced AI starts. Randomly giving two of the Ai an extra settler with a small chance of giving one two extra settlers. Also randomly giving three of the AI a bonus trait and giving two a negative trait.

I've not thought about the traits too much so far, but i thought it could be stuff like -25% unit cost, -50% settler cost, or +10% production for the bonuses and for the negatives +25% unit cost, -10% science etc etc.

I think this could make the game more interesting as some of the AI will have a natural advantage and others will be weaker. Making the interactions between them more interesting. However the only mods so far I have made are ones for Civ V Ai using Xml to tweak the civ flavours and some unit/building stats. I imagine this mod would require the use of scripts which i have no experience with so far.

Was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction
