There are so many...

When the computer is about to lose a city, the computer is instantly allowed to transfer all of it's shield production !at no penalty! to build a defensive military unit. Even if they have 100's of shields (from a wonder of the world that they were building) they choose a Warrior Unit or Phalanx or in modern times, a riflemen. They'd be better served to build say... archers or mech infantry with all of those shields but they always use their cheapest production unit. They are then allowed to attack, die and I take their city anyway.

The computer never buys barbarians to use as mercs. I always use spys/diplomats to buy them in enemy territory because they require no support and are an instant force to use in my future plans.

The last unit in an enemy city that is building a wonder of the world seems to be incredibly hard to kill. I've watched four or five of my elephant units fail to kill a single phalanx in an unwalled enemy city. It doesn't matter that the phalanx has only got 2 or 3 hitpoints left, the most important thing is that they build the wonder of the world... My units have never shown such incredible toughness against overwhelming force.

I have watched land barbarians avoid helpless enemy (computer) cities in an effort to kill themselves against my bristling fortresses. You'd think they'd like a little free plunder:mad:

I've bought up hoards of enemy cities and the computer player in question can't figure out that I am at fault!

I notice an enemy settler in a space where it could build a city. We are at war so the computer knows that I am hostile. I move away, he builds a city right where he was and I move right back in and take the undefended city.

More later

In an OCC comparison game I played, this process was repeated some 4 or 5 times, with the AI unable to realise the trap it has fallen into :)

Yes, I've done/seen this one before
