More tech rush from my Great People

I know that in the Civ4UnitInfos you assign great people such as Great Scientists and Great Artists to be able to rush technologies of that same flavor. But what determines HOW MUCH they help? What determines how many beakers sacrificing a Great Person gives toward a technology?

What does the iflavor tag do under the units flavor? I see they are all 1. Does that have any influence on how many beakers the Great Person contributes to discovering the tech?

Any help is appreciated.

The iFlavours of units specify which techs these units can lightbulb (the techs that have the same Flavours in the CIV4TechInfos.xml file).
The beaker contribution of a unit is set with the iBaseDiscover attribute.
