Why should the Zulus be in when Byzantine, Carthage, & the ottoman turks are not, include some of the caliphates in the middle ages as well, if you have to have a black civ (other than egypt) then how about the Nubians? My point is that in almost all ways that we measure civilization, the Zulus just come up short. The Israelis are more deserving of a civ that the Zulus. One point: Name a leader or famous Zulu other than Shaka! What Wonder have the Zulus built? What have they done other than rout 100 rifleman at a dilapidated outpost!

The Americans are the worst! They keep sending units into my territory and act real surprised when I ask the to get out. They keep doing this the entirew game, unless they're killed of. And they do this every game. Very annoying. So I just kill them...
Zulu's and Persians are bad too.

Yes, the Americans like to move through your territory. It's usually annoying but harmless, but sometimes they really are planning an invasion. Just in case, I attack them every time. :)

The zulus are used to represent the Southern African tribes. They had religion, ceremony, military. The Iroquois are there, as are aztecs and people have suggested the introduction of a polynesian civ. There's more to civilizations than just wonders. I think the programmers have been kind to include american "wonders" like the hoover dam and UN (always have done tho). Many civs haven't built a pyramid or a colossus or hanging gardens or the like.

I may be just to hard on the Zulus but again why include them when Charthage is not? Carthage was Rome's biggest threat to becoming a great civ (empire) It was going to be either Rome or Carthage and only because Carthage lost do we agree Rome was one of the Greatest Civ's of all time! If more civ's are added then i'll agree they should be included.

Also its not that they didn't build wonders, they just did not build. Ever hear of a Zulu library, aqueduct, ect.? They lived in temporary structures similar to the plains Indians ;where are the Sioux, Apache, Cheyenne? They were a more formidable enemy to America than the Zulu;'s were to the British. When did Shaka take his impi to London and have a party on english soil for 9 years a'la Hannibal did to Rome? When did Shaka defeat 60,000 men.

Sorry about the rant;) but come on! The Zulu's???

Note: Currently 21% are voting with me, & another 15% would if they were not afraid of the German Pazer.

At least the Aztecs, & Iroquois lived in permanent structures & lived in something more than an armed camp.

The purpose of the poll is to determine the most annoying civ, not the most undeserving. As one of the 15%, my vote was based on neither fear of the Panzer nor disrespect for German civ achievements, but rather on the extremely annoying 'personality' that the Germans adopt in the game. I think you'll find that it is Shaka's warmongering and bullying character that lies behind the majority of the 21%, not consideration of the value of the Zulus to world culture.

Don't assume that the 21% all agree with you, and definitely don't assume that people who didn't even vote Zulu at all do so.
:nono:

ok, Shouldnt have used the poll to prove my point and yes this poll is about the most annoying civ, but it ANNOYS me that they are there when as I have said before, other civs Carthage, Vikings, Byzantines were excluded. Its my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. With 32 civs by all means include them, not with 16.

I can't beleive Spain wasn't included but the Aztecs were. Just look at how many Spanish guys it took to defeat the Aztecs.

The Americans and Iroquois needed a neighbor, so we have the Aztecs and not Spain. Right...

Zulu should be valued higher than iroquois. And iroquois are the representative for all native (north) america. And yeah, spain were unlucky to miss the first release and they were extremely kind to put in the iroquois. While the iroquois were only one of many tribes still in america when the settlers came, the zulu grew and conquered all the other tribes in the area. At least Spain is in the expansion.

i agree with Spain getting snubbed.....i'm looking forward to the expansion....then i can finally break out my sombrero and have the pleasure of seeing conquistadors all over the map

The most hated civ for me depends mostly on their proximity to my starting location.

So I can't name a single civ I hate the most, as I'll always hate the nearest neighbours (can't have them choking up my expansion can we?). BTW, I play on standard sized maps since my computer can't bear any larger.

Regardless of whether they're France or the Zulu, I always can't stand the civs that start so close, and as such wipe them out as soon as I can, with the least amount of dishonour (the least I do before declaring war is to renegociate peace and let the negotiations fail).

However, as secondary options, I hate Persia, England and the Zulu most (but ESPECIALLY Persia).
