Most undervalued tech by A.I.

Sorry thats what I meant. Economics is useless if you dont get Smiths.
It might have some trade value of course (after you have built Smiths). At Diety I sometimes start a palace pre-build for Smiths before I start researching Economics and even then do not always get it.

I have to agree with you on Economics. Smith's is great, but if you don't build it, economics is useless, whereas literature allows libraries. Scientific Method at least is on the pathway to Electronics and Hoover Dam.

I also find literature to be something the computer is very slow to research, but I feel like the mistakes it makes in tech research in the Industrial era cost it more.

Well, definitely not literature. :shakehead The artificial intelligences always beat me to it. In the ancient era, the only tech I usually discover first is polytheism. But I don’t think this means the AI does not value this tech. Probably, it is caused by me following a single path in the tech tree on my way to a specific leaf (monarchy for example), while seemingly the AI builds up its research more evenly, i. e., it will first want to discover the wheel before pursuing such lofty goals as polytheism. This may have something to do with research costs, because the higher up the tree you climb, the higher the research costs.

i would have to say scientific method, allows you to build darwins voyage, get atomic theory and electronics, and build hoover dam, essential for making tanks and rolling over your neighbours
