Mouse Overs Fail to Appear

I have not seen this "feature" in any posts (though I have not exhaustively searched).

I have installed and can run the game relatively cleanly (1.52 patch).

I have a little bit of choppiness during wonder videos.

The real issue is that the mouse overs fail to appear at times. That is, when the game asks what technology to research next, if you hover the mouse over the icon for the tech, it gives a pop up description of the tech. Similarly, when building, there are mouse overs that are supposed to appear.

My anecdotal evidence says that the mouse overs fail to appear after I have created a world wonder. However, they also come back sporadically.

Anybody encountered this? Know what I can do?

This sounds very much like a bug I encountered in the original game - it occurred when I selected "enable right click menu" in the game options. That said, I thought this bug had been fixed in later patches.

I can only suggest you have a look at your game options - if you have right-menu enabled then try disabling it (personally I prefer having normal popups to the extra menu if I am forced to choose between them). Maybe the bug has re-surfaced, I must admit I have not checked it since 1.52.

Worked like a charm. Now I just have to acquire some actual skill at the game. Time for the strategy forums
