Mouseover and combat recap questions

1. Is there a way to get more unit information on mouseover? I can tell by the graphic that it's a knight, what I can't tell is what its strength is, what promotions it has, etc. I'll understand if the game doesn't want to tell you promotions, but I don't understand why I can't get basic information. A consolation prize would be an easy short-cut to the civilopedia entry for the unit...

2. Is there a way to get a recap of an AI battle against me? Used to be able to look it up in Civ 4...
