.MOV file converter

Does anybody know where I can get a free program that allows me to convert MOV files to AVI, MPEG's, etc (basically, Windows Movie Maker files). Everything I have found either doesn't read MOV files, or is just a free trial where they don't convert the entire file.

If no freeware can be found, I would be willing to shell over a few bucks.

Does shell over a few bucks mean a few hundred dollars? Only converter for a file like that I know is Sony Vegas...

I used Blaze Media Pro, it only gives a 15 day trial period, but I needed it for only one day, so that was no problem.
