We have a group of 4-5 that play regularly, after upgrading to Conquests and patching, we have found that we will be able to play for about two hours or so, then at a random end of turn, 2-3 of the players will get kicked out to the desktop, no error message. If we load up the last save, same thing happens again. Only if we go back a few turns, usually 2 or 3, then we can find a "good" save and play on, usually well beyond the point of the original crash. We have never been able to play a session without this happening at least a few times. It doesn't appear related to a specific unit, time in the game, or other activity as it happens randomly during different years. Always at the end of a turn flip. All have Pentium 4s, plenty of speed, ram, etc. and cable modems. All have Windows XP (I think, I'm waiting for one last confirm on this). We've tried different combinations of players and it still happens, ie. if a save file gets"corrupted" no combination of any two of us can still play it through, so it doesn't seem to be related to one particular computer's connection speed or anything like that. One of the players installed straight from CivIII patched, to Conquests, while the rest passed through PTW. Would that be it? Any ideas? Any similar problems?
