MPP question

If Germany is inside my borders and I quickly get an MPP with the Zulus and then declare war on Germany, will the MPP kick in because Germany is already inside my borders?

IIRC, only if one of their units attacks yours.

To be more specific, only if one of Germany's units attacks one of your units inside your territory. It's a Mutual Protection Pact, not a Mutual Anti-Other-Civs-Being-Protective-Of-Their-Own-Territory Pact.
