Multi-session G&K game (GMT+12 @ 8PM)

Looks like I was too busy to catch zalta...he signed off about 15 minutes ago. Well just have to see if he's up later.

He is online by mobile device half an hour ago. Any chance to finish the OCC game by loading Spain as AI?
 
I can't get on steam for a while yet. If you get a chance, message him.

I guess Zoeff could be around later...but if he's not, the game can't be launched.

I'd rather continue with the new one.

No, it's not personal:D how can I have personal hate against every player here when the game ends in elimination.

Just want to finish this game quicker so we can start new ones. Science victory is too lengthy.
 
Congrats, EEE, on that victory! Seems fitting, given your capital. I couldn't hold out without oil, or anti-tank guns.... Kinda sick that you had all resources in your cap.

Next Sat/Sun fine for me. The rest two games are both naval. Depending on the availability of either Tommy or Zalta. Or if neither is available, we can start a new one with more peaceful oriented settings? Perhaps culture, diplomacy and science victory only? Standard size map?
 
I agree that the games are gearing towards wars too much, so I was theorizing settings that can give us the most fun with other victory types possible. This may also be a great GMR game if the turn timer is too quick for micromanagement. Here are the settings.

Map: All players on the same continent
Size: standard for 6 players. Large for 8 players. Larger map will reduce the effectiveness of war.
CS: 16 for 6 players. 20 for 8 players
Victory conditions: Culture, Diplomatic, Science only
Civ choices: Pick, or pick then random assign.

SPECIAL RULE: no city taking. So only war of pillage and war of parking are allowed.

What do you guys think of the settings? Any comments?

We could also not use a turn timer.

What would be the rules of city taking against CS? Taking CS may be the only way for the poor to stop the rich from winning diplo. Much like you stop culture and science by pillaging and disrupting city growth.

I would say no CS taking either. Only cooperation is needed to divide buying CSs in the last resort.

Depends on player selection, 2-3 may go science, 1 may go culture, 2-3 may go diplomatic, so the competition can ensure no easy win on diplomatic. Human Astria is not necessary as happiness hit is too much that only 1-2 marriage may be tolerated during very short time period.

Plus when you see someone clearly goes diplomatic, t he science leader can use their superior army to pillage early on.

Yeah, that game is so interesting:)

Any chance we can finish the naval game during the week days? Only 4 players required.
