Multi-session G&K game (GMT+12 @ 8PM)

Okay, thanks, will try that.

So, our newest game:

Small Pangaea strat bal with raging barbs.

EEE - Germany
Onan - Maya
Islandia - Celts
JakeAlmighty - Japan
Foffaren - Ethiopia

The game thus far has been marked by the near endless Maya-Celt Orange War, precipitated by the Celts plucking fruit on our border we'd already claimed in our minds as our own. To War! We burned the offending city when it seemed unlikely we'd hold it, after grabbing it with a somewhat protracted bow and catapult rush. Eventually Islandia accepted peace, only to immediately steal the oranges back with a citadel. We grabbed them right back with the same trick...these fruit now have three citadels (one I'd placed for legitimate defensive reasons) surrounding them...they must be made of gold, or taste of ambrosia.

Little did I know the Celts were already at war with Ethiopia when I attacked.

In parts unknown, the German empire has committed genocide against the poor, helpless Japanese, wiping them off the planet. Apparently the world is also funny shaped, though we have no knowledge of this in Palenque.

Prediction: Germany's got this one in the bag.

Saturday again?

We had a player not show. I searched for heinage on steam but it came up with nothing. :( I almost never find people using that Steam search. My steam name is KaminOnan if you want to look me up. Cheers.

We started another game, so that may take a few weeks to wrap up, again.

dang, sad I missed out, but on the other hand I'll be quite busy for next couple of weeks so maybe it's for the best. Will add you to steam though and am looking forward to future games. cheers

Celt - Ethiopia "war". He stole my worker and I took it back right away. It was more of a "look what I can do and get away with it" war. Ethiopia have already forgotten about it. Now I'm just bracing for the oncoming horde because I still belive the germans have to pass through me to get to Maya and Celtic lands.

I'd like to cite the words of the Verminator Dwayne from the movie Over the Hedge: "Prepare for a lot of stinging."

Well, can't deny the end result, but the process leading to it is the early blockade of Japanese cities, that corner the Germans into a peninsula and force the german to go OCC for the most of the game. Both Japanese cities got walls, with Composit bows, so the Japanese is prepared. The changing factor to tip the balance off is the german UU, which comes out at a rate of 1 unit per turn. So the war is brutally forced into victory with pure quantity.

Edit: just want to find a valid excuse to war, because the way you describe the Germans sounds very aggressive and negative, which is normally not :p We will not steal worker or settler from other civ

Saturday should be good.

We need to go through the raging barbs and populate the continent first. By the time the settling is done, we may not be that good at wars any more, so the german will fly to the other planet and leave the rest fighting for the bitter inch of land with the magic orange:cool::D

Its the Mayas and Celts that are warring. I'm just sitting in the mountains, watching, hoarding wonders hoping that no one pays any attention to me.
I cant lie. The paranoia is pulling a tight grip on me.

Hi guys. Are we playing session two of this game in about 23 hours? Just checking.

Saturday I might have to leave during the day. We usually dont play long enough but I should mention it. Saturday evening I will be drunk on tequila wich makes getting up on sunday morning difficult, but not impossible. My vote is on saturday but I can try and make it work sunday if its a better date for others.

Saturday is fine. I'd prefer to finish the earlier game if Zalta is around - it's the same 5 / 6 players so if Zalta doesn't show we can do the 2nd game. I think at this point the high seas game is probably a no go.

I've sent zalta a message, basically saying the same thing, and asking him to post here.

Yeah, that older game has been dead in the water for a while. In my experience, tommy's not really that interested in reloading games...no follow through.

Good to know you're watching and ready to play, though.

Foff, where are you, we're waiting on you.

What a peaceful session!
All nations are now tight in technology with the number of tech difference less than 1-2.
Maya has advantage in production (or was that a golden age?)
Ethiopia has advantage in city states and existing military.
Germany has advantage of cash and wonders that boost military quality.
How long will the peace last?

I would not exclude the celts. They are laying low, lurking just behind the hill, waiting. Please dont kill me.
