Multiplayer blue screen crash

I've been playing the game on single player for about a week now, but last night I decided to try multiplayer for the first time. I clicked on "internet" and it takes me to a screen that shows some games in a list. But a few seconds after I get to that screen, I get the dreaded blue screen of death. This is the first time I've had a blue screen crash since I got WinXP.

I'm at work right now and don't have the specifics of the crash.

I have a P4, 2.0 GHZ with 512MB Ram and a nvidia GeForce 4200 Ti w/ 64 MB RAM. While this is pretty minimal, the game plays OK in SP mode.

Any ideas? I apologize in advance if this has been posted before, but I looked for several minutes and didn't see a similar post.

OK, here are the details. The text on the screen was:

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down.
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

The only filename I see on the screen in NDIS.SYS

No one else has experienced this problem? No ideas? No hints, clues or even emotional support?
