Multiplayer FfH2?

prolly more fun to play a no ai one still a few more times, but i like being a giant team so every one can converse still, and so people can see all the signs i put up and be annoyed by my pinging all over the place

a really good team game would need a Ljosalfar player (to give everyone elven workers so everyone can have tree towns), a Lanun player (for the Seafaring tech +1 food advantage on the water), and a Khazad for better unpillageable mines, to be super optimal.

it might be neat to try a game at some point with all human players on the same team versus a 12 AI team on Deity Always War Raging Barbarians and any other settings which increase difficulty (a human versus the machine type game).

i would be in to doing this, but getting us all to agree on what tecs would be a pain  :crazyeye: I would still do it though. heh, I guess we could have half the team working on one tech, and the other half on another or something, but you build them faster when all work on the same one. We could most likely snag all the religions we wanted ;)

As for my civ, put me down for Einion Logos for now, I really liked the Elohim last time (not to mention it was my first time with em).

thered be more AI's and they'd be on deity so dont count on humans getting all the religions lol

and everyone agreeing on techs isnt always an easy feat, and its not strictly necessary (only heavily beneficial for obtaining "first to discover" bonuses)

This is true, but the tech paths are sort of a pyramid so one leads to another, therefore the quicker you get one (barring GP) the quicker you get to the next.

Just thought I'd point out that seafaring isn't shared in .15, and the +1 :food: actually comes from the Lanun palace.

Still, elven workers will be nice. We'll have to use every ability at our disposal to win that sort of game.

If we do play such a game, what will our tech strategy be? Will we rush for writing? Would we be the Order, the Leaves, or even Runes? All our teams working on one strategy has the potential to be very entertaining.

well theres things to worry about, like rusihing for runes might end up fruitless if the AI's get it before us

it might be nice to plan out the enemy civs and ours to be a good vs. evil scenario, but then we'd have to be pick the civs with the restrictions of none of us being evil, or none of us being good... but then that might limit the number of ais we're left with

it looks like we're all good or neutral, so we could make the AI's evil.. i wonder how many evil and non-us neutrals there are...

there's 12 evil and non-us neutrals (though we could use some of the same neutral civs if they have 2 leaders) though we might have to make an edit to Leadersinfo xml file to make some of the minor civs playable (so we can choose to add them specifically as enemies in our game)

Hm, it's going to be interesting, seeing if their whole team is going to be allied with the barbs... that would make it much more difficult (read: awesome) for us.

will their whole team or just a bulk of them be allied with barbs? im not sure how barb trait works with teams

either way, like you say, the more difficult the better

No tech trading doesnt matter in this, since they'll only be us and them, and we wont be trading with them since we'll be at war by default

one thing i recommend we get before them is werewolves, since sharing werewolves will help out a lot

Just to clarify: how are these games primarily set up? Do we use the in-game multiplayer feature, or is there some more complex way that is used to set it up?

i may have to skip out on game in the near future or you need to delay it a day, i just had my wisdom teeth out and i'm a bit wooooooozyyyyyyy.
i could play but i might try to guard a city with an(unpromoted) adventurer....
i'll check back with how i'm feeling on staturday

it throbs but it's not really painfull... i did feel very weird breathing the pure oxygen at first though and my mouths sorta-well any, i've got gauze pads in my mouth and i'm still a bit out of it though not woozy persay.... on the bright side, i never had braces:p
the whole thing is kinda a lil bloody and only a little throbby... thats what the gauze pads are for
