Multiplayer Game - Level Selection Saving

Hello everyone.

I have been playing Civ 5 for several months now & am trying to advance my level of play. Right now I play the multiplayer option with my dad & we play at Prince Level.

I host our games & after I invite him to join, we both select "King" at this initial point (same place where we select the nation we will play as). However, if I save the game & rejoin, it seems to always revert back to Prince...HELP???

Should I be selecting our "Level" at a different point? How do I get our selected "Level" to save?

Hi, I'm not sure what the problem is, but have experienced the same thing since the patch. My brother and I started a King game and it reverted to Prince for both of us when we tried to load the save(which didn't end up working anyways).

I don't think there's any way around this, at this point, because autosaves are all you get, and short of editing files yourself, it's not going to change.

Edit: Perhaps somebody can post how to modify save files, and then you could revert it to King difficulty before every play session(a pain). Or maybe it's just cosmetic, in that the game is playing at the chosen difficulty, but for some reason "Prince" shows up after save. Not sure how to find if that is true in the files.
