Multiplayer Game

I have a friend who just bought Civ V and I have all of the DLC. He does not. I'm just wondering if we will be able to play together or does he have to buy all the DLC first? I'm guessing if it does work, we won't be able to use Babylon, Polynesia, etc. Thanks.

Nope, sorry, doesn't work.
You can only play together if you have the same DLC :/.
