Multiplayer is broken, (especially LAN).

No one will ever end turn when at war.

You cannot pause turn timer games, nor save them.

You can't fault the developers, it's the testers who are to blame imo.

P.S., maritime city-states and Japan are OP.

agreed, agreed, agreed

don't think they are OP though - why do you think so?

Also, how much food do maritime give you.. because for maybe 500g you need something eh?

Well you are definitely wrong about who to blame, testers do not make decisions, they report bugs and suggest features, the developers make the decisions and they are squarely to blame, although I'm sure 2K decisions made life hard at times for the devs to meet timelines etc.

I won my first MP game today.

MP Civ V has some issues that need ironing out. The biggest problem you run into is that it takes it a while to register mouse clicks when issuing move orders. It needs either to have a turn-based movement option or have it be better optimized. There was sometimes a 15-20 delay between a mouse click and it registering in the game. I have a pretty descent machine and broadband internet connection so I don't think that was the problem.

You definitely do want a turn timer, but you also may need to pause the game at some point.

It would also be nice to have player matching, ladders, a better MP interface, ping info, etc.

We do have a league at www.civplayers.com yes it is a community run league, but I don't expect Firaxis to ever build anything better, that would take time and money :P

I don't know why people blame the testers about the issues in the game? Is it because of some idea that they didn't catch the issues that the other half a million people or so found? I find that hard to believe. It has to be the decision makers who would be at fault in my opinion, but I still like the game none the less.

If you game stops in multiplayer mode simply press the menu button and
it will recover. Its pisses me off to no end. No save and all the multiplayer
bugs. Last I was play Lan with 3 people and after trading iron I kept getting
their iron every turn after the 30 days a was over. I have over 200 iron
and they were in the high negative values for iron. I ran out and bought
4 copies of this damn game even though I said I wouldnt being it was on steam!!!
But I wanted it so bad I got 4 copies for my 4 pcs and I regret it!
No patch since 10020 what they hell are they doing rolling in the $?
Sid has never let me down like this b4 what a serious let down! Refund please!
I even dropped $400 to upgrade the 4th pc to play this bs!
