multiplayer issue with .51

Me and my cousin was gonna play last weekend, but no Fall Further game would start in multiplayer (New games all), like stated before the cliend CTD all the time.

FFH worked like a charm. Something in your FF051B makes multiplayer unstartable???

online you get to move at the same time so very little wait at end of turn. Much better then hot seat.
unless you can't play over the internet because of glitch in ff and 3.19 ;)

No, I can say internet play works fine.

Do you play direct Ip connect or through a site?

And while internet works for you it stoped for some of us in this new version, It used to work fine for me as well but now its toast. I am trying to find out what I may do to fix it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no effect. I have not uninstalled and reinstalled my whole CIV 4 and BTS since FFH and other mods do internet just fine.

Hmmm. I do direct IP connections. Is anybody behind a router that isn't properly config'd?

That was our first thought then we tried ffh and playes sucessfully 3 weekends in a row. I prefer FF and have uninstalled it and deleted the directory 3 times now installing patch b. I haven't redownloaded the mod file and patch and neither has my friend. I guess we could try that but that seems like a long shot. I have not done a regedit to make sure the registry is clean after the uninstall. I was hoping that more people had this issue and solved it or the next patch would. The fact you have it working makes me wonder if your on xp or vista ... vists 32 here and my friend is on vista 64. I am building a new i7 vista 64 soon to be w7 64. I should have it up by next weekend if I'm lucky. I am going to load the Civ 4 suite second to an intensive 1st person shooter. Then all the mods using the same router, it will be curious to see if it works then, since all my other mods work now. And I can play FF solo just fine. I almost hate to play vanilla ffh, when FF should be playable. I noticed they have FFplus updated to .51 now I hope to try that multiplayer this weekend.

Win7 64-bit here, Win XP for one friend and Win Vista the other - we have the full gamut here.

I guess I will try a redown load of the original file and uninstall including registry edits and a reinstall for a 3rd time. I was hoping it was a program error where the ini pointed to a wrong directory or something simple.

You and I should try connecting at some point, Webrider, to try to narrow it down. Send me a PM and we'll try to work out the time, I have an unmodded, un-modular-modded directory for FF sitting over here too.

We were doing it over a LAN, not over the internet per se.

Hotseat is great, but takes abit to much time to finish a game. But with Hotseat it works fine.

Did not try direct IP setup since we were on a LAN. We were on a router thought...
