How does CivIV handle multiple active mods? Can you enable more than one mod at a time? One of the nice things about the World of Warcraft game is that it's extremely moddable UI supported multiple mods, so you could have a decent clock mod with a decent map mod and a bunch of other stuff, all written by different people.

Does CivIV allow multiple mods? If not, what is the correct way to combine two or more mods? If it requires only one active mod at a time, then I can see this degenerating into a mess of 'collection' mods...

If this has been answered before, I offer no apologies because the search facility on these forums is terrible.

You can only have one mod at a time
I was working on combining mods last night and I can tell you its hard work!!!
It took me about 10 hours to combine 5 mods.
It would take longer without WinMerge(helps alot).
But all you really do is open the xml from the first mod and compare it to the xml of the second mod and decide which changes you want to keep or leave out when they overlap.

My question is: How do I combine the Python files from the mods?

I'm actuallt runnign both the Civ IV Realsim mod and the Lost Units/Wonders Mod. I took the Realsim mod and loaded into my custom assets file, the set the lost units file to load at the beginning....I think its working lol

first of all THANKS A LOT for the winmerge-tip, i didn't know it. it's great!

then: i successfully merged Slower Tech+Balance with Building Demolition.
vorius, who did the demolition-mod (which is just some additions in a python-script), commented every addition in his file, so it was easy to add them to the other mod.

not sure if that answers your question, though.
