Someone asked if the AI uses armies in C3C. Well I've now completed all the Conquest scenarios, and I've seen ONE army used by the AI (when the AI was Carthage in the Rise of Rome), and that army had a single swordsman in it! Yep, just one. I was rather happy to wipe that one out, I can tell you.
Not seeing any armies struck me as rather strange, since in several of the scenarios you get armies at the start of the scenario, just waiting to be loaded up. On more than one occasion on my way through the Conquests, I actually destroyed a ciivilization that should have had a army, but I saw no sign of it. So either you only get those empty armies as a human player (which doesn't seem fair) or the AI managed to "lose" them somehow.
Definitely something that the Firaxis people need to look at I think.
