Must be a bug!! please help me!!

Hi, I got Civ IV.

In the game, (and even in the tutorial), the campaign map is all black!!!
The only things you can see are the units, cities, and recources. YOU can't see the terrain or anything else, even when you use the scouts to "scout".
I can only see the terrain(campaign map) if I zoom all the way out- which isn't fair, 'coz you can't see units or recources from that far out!!!!

Please tell me what to do to fix this problem, 'coz I can't enjoy the game until this is fixed!

That happened to me :/ But it ended up working on another computor. I am not sure what to do about it myself. I tried downloading a new Driver. That didn't work.

The funny thing is, the computor that got black terrian was more powerful than on the one that worked.

I think there is a thread on this somewhere.

Ah yes, it's called the "Black Terrain/Chesire cat bug".

I just downloaded the v1.09 patch and it fixed it; I suggest you do the same. You can d'l it at the official website.

Or, get the new patch.
