High above, in the bell tower.
I've just found out that EA Sports will not be releasing a PC version of MVP Baseball 2006.

Apparently, there will be NO MLB baseball game released this year for the PC platform. From I've seen 2K Sports...Yes..the same 2K Games, grabbed the MLB licensing when EA Sports Madden signed the rights for the NFL. 2K Games has decided to release Major League Baseball 2K6 in all platforms EXCEPT for the PC!

I usually don't post gripes, but this really SUCKS! Why is it that the PC platform is getting pushed back?

If I'm missing something or have my info wrong, please let me know and I apologize for the rant.

Sorry, just had to get off my chest.

I've bought a PC baseball game every year since 1999, and MVP was definetly the best. Looks like I'll have to do without, this year.:(

I didn't know there was an MVP game coming out for any platform, though. (except for college baseball)

PC games sell less than the other console games, so 2K decided not to have Kush (developer) waste time and money putting it out on PC. Sports on PCs sell horribly anyway.

If you already have MVP 2005, just go to MVPmods.com, and register (required), then download the latest version of a mod called Ultimate Rosters. It'll give you the latest rosters for all teams. You can also download face packs for the new players, etc.

I might just try that out!

Does anyone know if they will be releasing MVP 2006 for PS2? I was at Best Buy the other day and didn't see it anywhere, and it's usually out a month before the season even starts!

No, I don't think EA has the license for that this year. Part of the trade-off of getting the big football deal.

So it's between MLB '06: The Show and 2K6. I wish they had career stats I could look at. It's odd...NHL and NBA 2K6 have the usual year-by-year career stats but the baseball game doesn't.
