My Computer got toasted while playing Civ3!

Yeah, looking at the wPrime benchmark it doesn't look like you'd get too much of an increase without a really expensive dual-core card (after doubling the dual-core scores since Civ4 only uses one). Just so long as it's not slower, it's still an improvement though. Not only can you watch multiple movies (OK, maybe run anti-virus and play Civ is a better example), but the new CPU's tend to run a bit cooler than top-of-the-line P4's. The better vcard couldn't hurt the system's longevity either.

450 with taxes is quite a bit, but at least the computer still works. No lost data, right? That means you can still play your old Civ games!
