My Idea: Writing th ehistory of the world in civ terms!

I have no idea where I though of this, but wouldn't it be a great idea to make the history of the Earth written like a civ game? The only problem I have is lack of information about the history of the world. (History class has never once mentioned anything outside America or Texas, all nearby libraries don't have any useful information, the internet hates me, so the only place I really learn actual history from is civ. ) So I was wondering if anyone could make this, or at least part of it?

Sounds like a good way to make history interesting! Id do it, but countires do advanced classes on the history of one COUNTRY, hwo the hell are we going to do the whole WORLD!


Maybe if we got enough support we could assign one person USA, one england, 1 intaly, 1 greece. ect ect.

What? We're supposed to be doing history on a country? I'm in 8th grade, and it's only my second year of american history! Everything else has been Texan!

My HS was way to hard. They requiered Math (Pre-calc) during Sophmore year, calc during juniro. We also studied the entier history of america, not just texas. Dont know why anyone would focus on the backwater state.

Nothin but feilds far as i can tell.

Anyways, i assume my HS was difficult and good because now that i am in college everything is obscenely easy. While others struggle i just cruise on by...


Kinda sad really.

I'm taking World History in ninth grade, and I have a pretty good sense of world history anyway. Try asking the history buffs of the World History forum.

I think that we could ask some of the good storywriters like Sandman, StevieJay, or Vanadorn (maybe Daftpanzer? lol) to help. It would be a really cool project.

That actually may be an interesting read (assuming it's not incredibly long).
I could never contribute, however, since I'm only in US History 9th grade, and a very poor writer.

I know main events in world history because here in Bosnia we learn everything. i am 1st grade of high school and I am starting everything from begining. I just finished prehistory and Egypt

I actually took notes in a couple history classes using Civ terms - particularly the lecture on the Hittites, because their main battle with the Egyptians (the battle of Qadesh, under Muwatalis II) basically came as a result of an Egyptian city "culture flipping" to the Hittites,

I started working on Texas history, but I couldn't think of how to do the Texas Revolution.....
