My video card is a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX Integrated GPU.
Here are my symptoms:
I click the launcher for CivIV, and it starts up...
The 2K games intro movie plays.
My screen goes black, except for my mouse.
After some random clicking, I got my computer to "ding" every time I clicked, but didn't seem to be able to make it do anything. To restart, just pressing power wasn't sufficient... I had to hold it in.
Or, I can do the following:
The 2K games intro movie plays. I click to interrupt it.
My screen goes screwy (lots of strips of colored static), and then the intro movie starts.
The video seems to play fine, but the audio stutters. However, where I would expect to see two solid black strips across the top and bottom of the screen, I see strips of blurred color.
I click to skip past the intro video.
Now, all I see is a blue background with an arc of smeared color across it, much like a rainbow. (The border of the arc is sharp) If I click around on the bottom-left corner of the screen, I can get a loud beep, and then CivIV will exit and return me to my desktop.
I have the latest nVidia drivers. I turned on the enable logging option, but the log files don't report any error conditions.
