My opponents became ghosts?

I just reinstalled my system. Every things runs well(The only thing I tried was of course civ game) except when I contact my opponent, they appeared as shadowed ghosts. My own potrait is fine. There are some other minor graphic error. How should I fix it?

Apologies if I am stating the obvious, but do you have the latest drivers installed for your graphics card? The default supplied with Windows might not be optimal for the game. The card manufacturer should have the latest drivers online.
