My request for this mod

Law and justice are two very different things. If that's what you mean you should really rename the node :)

Lawyers love lawyer jokes.

Yeah, we do:D Well, allright, I have a coupla years of education to go, but I'll still love lawyer jokes when I'm done.

Suing an angel for interfering with a contract with the devil is obeying the law, not justice. So no need to rename the node yet.

Well, theoretically, (or is that theologically?) there could be an in-grained "Law" written into the universe, quite apart from the derivative laws of kingdoms or cities, by which justice and goodness are defined.

This could make moral laws into physical forces, though not necessarily unstoppable forces in a world with magic and gods containing the powers to rewrite creation.

Hey, now were getting into my realm of expertise.

Hobbes teaches us that the "moral imperetive" we feel is simply out of a need of survival. There is no "Law" that governs us persay, save that -that is impossed upon us by our own agreements into a system of society.
This is important because, despite your parents ancestors being the ones who entered into the initial agreement, you are still bound to obey the laws that they agreed to. You "signed the contract" though in reality it was your ancestors who did so. They signed for you.

Regardless, the "sense of law" one feels in the universe stems from this paradigm. In FFH, Hobbes would probably say that the Law Sphere/Domain being governed by a very real God gives that God the rights do deal out punishment and reward as he/she chooses. Any revolt against the law, is unquestionably illlawful, despite what the "law" may or may not demand morally. IF the law says you sell your sister into prostitution if you failed to pay taxes, then it is unlawful to not sell your sister into prostitution. However, if you resist, it is perfectly acceptable. As the primary source of "law" is always going to be of "the self". In this, you can kick scream, kill and shout to stop your sister from being sold, however, each of these actions will be unlawful. And there would be rights to punish you further.

The strange thing IS, that if you were to some how sucessfully revolt against the Law god..and WIN, then everything you did previously instantly becomes lawful, as what you deem lawful is and/or isnt.

P.s. Anyone tell I'm a philosopher?
