My screenshots are black?

I was wondering if something needs to be edited to take screenshots properly or if there is a hotkey for it other than print screen?

Whenever I take a screenshot and paste it in somewhere it's just a big black square.

In-game screenshots are placed in the game's Screenshots folder (path should be something like "C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\screenshots").

Screenshots are saved in .tga format, but are easily saved as .jpg or .png files with any image editor (I prefer IrfanView).

The default Steam screenshot hotkey is F12.
