My workers are building forts everywhere

I had about five citys that I had been manuly building improvements for then when I put my workers on automate they seam to only build forts and everywhere I have citys completly surrouded by forts now. is this a bug? I think im going to miss out by not having farms and hamlets and stuff.

Fuedal and another civic make forts quite good improvements, +2 Gold and +2 Hammers i think. just be carefull when you change civics, your economy will crash quickly with useless forts everywhere.

Solution: Do not automate Workers (or at least have the option on for automated Workers to leave older improvements alone).

Ok thanks guys, everything is going fine, my automated workers are making farms today and getting to work paving roads and stuff.
