Myst like games

my mom is trying to find a game in the vein of oldschool adventure like Myst and Kingsquest, can anyone think of one?

I thought the third installment of the Journeyman series was just amazing. It;s more than five years old, now, but it was the first game of that style that I played where you had complete 360 viewing. (As in, you could look in absolutely any direction). The interaction with the characters was cool, too. It was a little on the easy side, though.

King's Quest! That was one of the first computer games I ever played. Ah, memories.

I used to have some of those when I was about 6 years old.
I think their names were Obsidian (II, think) and Atlantis.
The boxes are still in the garage, but I don't think the CD's are there.

The Journeyman Project was great. Real shame the company that made it went out of business. I had dreams of working with them someday. Also Buried In Time (Journeyman Project 2) is a great game. It was one of the first games I played that came from a CD-Rom.
