We've all noticed that CiV makes a pretty neat title, since the roman "5" fits in nicely with the name of the game.

But has anyone else noticed that this also worked for the last game, and the next 3 games, as well?
  • cIV (civ 4)
  • ciVIlization (civ 6)
  • ciVilization (civ 7)
  • ciVilization (civ 8)

It's a stretch, but you could go even farther:
  • CivilIXation (civ 9)
  • CiviliXation (civ 10)

What do you think? Lame or interesting?

Yeah, the idea was that lower-case "L"s and upper-case sans-serif "I"s would be similar enough that a graphic designer could work them into a roman numeral.

I dont think they need to go in that direction for sequals, and in all honesty I dont like the look of it past civ vi. Its just stretching it.

It is incredibly annoying because it makes posts difficult to read. For the most part, distinguishing between a capital I and lower case i is difficult with a small font, a high resolution or poor eyes.

We don't need to make "clever" abbreviations. We just need abbreviations that are both easy to type (i.e. not very long) and easy to read (e.g. not dependent on the case of one character). For example, " civ5 " does both those things. Thank you.

Very lame.

If your going to say l can be the same as I you could go as far as saying that Civilization would also work, which doesn't look very pleasing to the eye.
