I turn on the tv to FOX news' O'reily Factor hoping to see some good ol' fashion entertainment; but all they show now is the Natalee Halloway case.

Anyone still follow the case? And what do you think is the situation?

I don't follow the case and never had. All I know is from accidentally hearing about it while flipping channels (that an 18 year old on a school trip went missing in Aruba, and the suspects they got actually had nothing to do with her disappearance).

I don't follow court cases at all..

Sad as it is, I'd rather not have national news sucking up on this week by week. We have so many more important, national stories to cover...

Sorry if I sound cold...it's sad and all, but I still can't believe how much this has been covered in the however-long period it's happened.

I'm not sure what happened to her, but I do think Fox News needs to stop spending so much time on it. Sometimes when I watch CNN reporting on more important news I switch to see what Fox News is talking about and it seems its almost always talking about the Halloway case, I find it very strange even for Fox News.

It happens on MSNBC too. Scarborough Country used to have politics on it. Now it's "Holloway Tonight"

Thousands of people go missing every year. This shouldn't be a minute by minute update situation, much less even on news channels.

A blonde 18 year old girl that we're going to bomb Aruba for or something.

No, just the same graduation-type photos that they always put on the TV.

Here in The Netherlands it's in the news.

I think three guys have been arrested. A 17 year old Dutch guy, Joran van der Sloot (son of a lawyer, who has been arrested shortly too), and two Surinamese brothers Deepak Kalpoe, 21, and Satish Kalpoe, 18.

The Surinamese brothers are free now, iirc.

I haven't heared evidence against this guy, apart form him being the last one that has seen the girl.

Aruban police seems trustworthy to me. It's in the interest of Aruba to solve this!

Sounds to me like she went to a bar, got drunk, left with some guys to have sex, maybe changed her mind or too many guys got involved, and somebody killed her.

Then again, it may just be possible that she was left at the beach and in her foolish drunken state decided to go for a swim.

Either way, she was foolish for drinking and leaving the safe haven of her group of friends, alone, and proceeding out into a strange and foreign land. Let this be an example to the rest of you youngsters. This girl, if in fact deceased, is so largely in part to her own ill-advised actions. It may sound cruel on my part, but its the truth.

From the beginning, it seemed to be the most logical conclusion to me. She probably met this Joran dude, they got drunk, (whether they planned having sex or had sex doesn't matter at all) went to the beach, and had a swim.

Joran wakes up alone the next morning, but doesn't really remember what, why, when and how.

I'm puzzled why a crminal intend is added to the story. I haven't read evidence for it.
Maybe it is easier for her family to think she was a victim of crime, rather than a victim of typical teenager irrisponsible behaviour.

She's dead, If you aren't found in about a week your probably dead. I think that Joran knows what happened to her. I havent been following the investigation recently owing to an utter lack of interest, as it has turned into another story the media can put on air when nothing important is happening.
