was unable to find anywhere any information on the quantity of National Wonders per City. Is there a cap ? If I'm not mistaken there was one in Civ4 where they allowed to build 2 per city...

No, there's no cap, although for national wonders you need to have a certain building in every city (for instance a library in every city to build the National College).

But it is preferable to build a national wonder where it can be used most, for instance the Ironworks in a production city.

I'm around 90% sure there is no cap. Yeah, the Civilopedia has some holes.

Slightly OT, but does anyone know if you get wonder bonuses (Egypt, Marble, Aristocracy) when building national wonders as well?
