I was being sarcastic. I'm not going to bin my work just because one person doesn't like it. It would be more appropriate to suggest the completed leaderhead (which took a few hours to make, render, do the pcxs for) should be for a different MesoAmerican culture, such as the Moche.

Well, the Moche aren't MesoAmerican, they are South American...He'd be better as a Zapotec leader, Sween's leaderhead keeps getting tossed around and forgotten, and its too good to be forgotten, I'm sure you understand R8XFT.

I noticed something though about the Mesos you've done in that they look very...similiar. You might want to diversify the head-shapes and facial expressions.

A female Mesoamerican? I wasn't even aware they had any female leaders, but if they did, its likely the Mayan would have had one, since they weren't centralized into a single country, but were city states like the ones the Ancient Greeks had. Interesting idea, as long as its historical(Units I don't mind, but leaders..)

I've only done two male MesoAmerican leaderheads...and whilst they've got the same headgear, I have diversified the look. To me, they come from the same area of the world and are going to have similar features.

If the former Olmec leaderhead is to be Zapotec, who is he to be? One reason I chose Moche was that the Moche are in the Fireaxis scenario.

Zapotec...hmmm...well, the Zapotecs were a tribe of Craftsmen who were subserviant to the Aztecs. Looking at Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zapotecs you can see that they were an important people in the region. Unfortnately, no ancient leaders for them can be found. Another alternative is to find the words for "Great Leader" in one of the Zapotec's languages, and use that as the name of the Zapotec leader, unless you make the guy Era Specific, in which case Benito Juarez would be the best choice(He was one of Mexico's Presidents, but also a Zapotec.)

and the two meso americans are great but the second one could be used as a ancient and the first as medieval. if their faces wernt different though

:goodjob: ;)

hey R8XFT, how are the heads coming? Haven't heard any news about them so I hope you haven't dropped the project. Can't wait to get my hands on that Sioux leaderhead

Gosh, I'm going to have too many native leaderheads to choose from for my colonization mod! I haven't even sat down and figured out which ones will go to which civs. Thus far, I'm intending to include the following natives:
East-NA - Iroqouis, Huron, Lenni Lenape (Delaware), Cherokee, Creek, Shawnee, Calusa, Powhatan
West-NA - Lakota (Sioux), Cheyenne, Nez Perce, Haida, Blackfoot, Apache, Navajo
CA - Aztec, Maya, (?)tec
SA - Inca, Mapuche, Chimu, Tupi-Guarani
Caribbean - Carib, Arawak

So obviously some of these leaderheads will have to feature prominently!

I'm not sure about that third Central America one, yet...I don't know if Toltecs, Zapotecs or Mixtecs fit the 1520 period as a full civ, and other '-ecs' seem too minor or entirely outdated to include. Anyone know any better?
Edit: I was playing the Meso conquest again so I had Moche on the mind; I meant Chimu; and, yes, they were already conquered by the Inca before 1520. Compared to having all the European colonists arriving at the same time, its not that big of a deal, I think.

For your third central american civ, I would suggest, of those three, the Mixtecs. By this time the Mixtecs had displaced the Zapotecs from their original cities such as Monte Alban, and the Toltecs hadn't been around as a political entity for a couple centuries (as far as I know)
Another good choice, though, would be the Tarascans, located just west of the Aztecs with their capital at Tzintzuntzan. The Tarascans were pretty much unique during the time in that they managed to repel several times the Aztec's invasions.

Thats a very good idea; I am, after all, looking for a civ entirely seperate from the Aztecs. I will probably use that Toltec LH for the Maya, then, I think. Firaxis' Smoke-Jaguar is just...odd.
