Natural Wonders

I don't think teh chance of a natural wonder appearing like this should be higher simply because you made it rarer. If you go on a mas deforestation/swamp draining spree, you have amply demonstrated to your people how unimportant those terrain features are.

Allthough the terrain type may not be important for the commander in chief, it could be important for the inhabitants who will pay to see these soon-to-vanish natural wonders. Or the sheer scarcity of the terrain could make the tile more valuable. Maybe there rare plants there? Who knows? Only the Sims know!

I like the idea of special terrains but would want to link it to another innovation, the development of a great leader version of an explorer unit, veteran explorer becomes Columbus(list of names to slect from), then he can discover the previously invisible special terrain.

Greetings

If a natural wonder gets named it should become and form part of that wonder. For instance if a bay has been named, the name will appear on the ocean floor, or if a mountain is named, it appears on the ridge of that mountain in almost the same way that it is shown in an Atlas.

Even exceptionally long rivers can be named with the name forming part of the river. This will not slow the game down as the name is part of the scenery and not some irritating little post on the map.
