I've not played civ6 for months but I see that there was work done on naval combat in the fall patch. Are people noticing an improvement here or is it all still ridiculously easy to dominate the seas?
The AI is building more naval units and isn't sending all its units to scout the sea. It still not an huge challenge but it definitely improved, at least you have something to shoot at and might actually lose a ship to the AI.
It's very weak. Remember the good old days of Civ IV when naval warfare meant something and the AI had a lot of ships, that it actually used? I've never experienced a naval invasion with Civ 6, where in Civ IV it always happened. To me implementing embarkation is still a major reason why there is a lack of naval warfare in Civ 6. But I know, building transports and frigate/destroyer escorts for them was too hard...
