Need a little help please

hi everyone. I'm brand new to map creation and am somewhat confused why the sdk doesn't have the list of civilizations in the scenario editor. I only have 4: Anglo-Saxon England, Norwegian Empire, Danish Empire, and Duchy of Normandy. It would appear the city states list is also fubared.

I installed the sdk from Steam, already removed and reinstalled it, read a bunch of problems but don't seem to find anything that has my particular problem.. not sure what other info you need to diagnose..

I suspect you are loading the 1066 scenario... Make certain it is not hihglighted in the mod selection screen.

Thank you, Craig. I have no mods loaded. I launch the WorldBuilder and then I add my earth map I saved from a Civ5 game (this is because when I look to create a map in WorldBuilder it does not list an Earth Map, so I just saved one). All I want to do is have an earth map where I can pre-set the civs where they would be historically and try to play a game from that seeding. I would be fine if I could only get the right civs to appear on the list.

And if I hit New Map in WorldBuilder, create any generic map, I still get the same list of 4 civs.. I'm assuming it's a path problem but can't find where WorldBuilder is looking for this list..

I'd check... if you checked the not show dlc scenarios box in the mod options, they are hidden, and if you "ever" selected them, stay selected though hidden.

I strongly suspect this is the case as the four civs you mentioned are all part of that scenario. There is no other reason they could possibly be available to play unless the scenario was selected as a mod.

That was it! Now I feel pathetically stupid. I never even opened the Mod screen, only New Map and Load Map. I just now looked at Mod and sure enough, 1066 was checked. I unchecked it and problem solved.. Thanks much. I'm going to go beat my head against something hard now.
