Any ideas besides the obvious stability-breaker of taking over N Australia for Aluminum and Uranium?

I lost hard about a month ago as the Chinese when I discovered how lacking China is in the Uranium/Oil/Aluminum department. Not a geopolitical expert here, but that was really, really surprising. It was really annoying when no one would trade for them, but I was also worried about relying on trade past turn 10 of the trade...

I think maybe a save and more details about how you played can help us diagnose the reason(s) you collapsed.
In RFC sometimes it's better to try and survive without unique resources than settle in a place with really bad stability which will give you these resources, so I guess that covers one reason you collapsed.

There is Oil within easy reach in the desert NW of Beijing.

Well, it does depend on how long you're planning on playing this, but no modern navy could be a disadvantage later on, so either oil or uranium would be nice. Australia has Uranium and Aluminum close enough for a wide-radius city (I think), so you could kill 2 birds with one stone. Although no oil, still means no air force, so maybe Borneo would be a better bet in the long run.

Why not settle North America? Denver, Chicago, and New Orleans are great city spots which I believe have those resources.

Vassalize Mongolia and Khmer, demand the resources from them. That's what the 屬國 are all about.

我同意
it would be one thing if there were any actual inherent benefits to simplified but all the arguments for are basically "well, you gotta follow mass stupidity." :gripe:

台灣、香港、澳門還在用正體中文的。

中国語読めないが繁体字ならなんとなく意味わかりそうだ
簡体字は無理だが

やはり簡体字の人気低すぎるかな

I bet they are making fun of us in Chinese:rolleyes:.
