Need AW Advice

Ok, so I know it's NOT elegant, but I DID IT!!! It's not only my first AW win, it's my first domination win ever. All the other wins I've had were diplo or, back in my Chieftain days, cultural.
For the first time ever, I actually had all the resources to build an SS, and I even had 4 of the parts built in spite of being at war all the time. I've never had an SS win, so I guess that will be next...now that I know how to fight for the missing resources.
Good thing I'm on vacation this week, so I had plenty of time to play.

Thanks, commodified! I'll give it some serious thought. I've never attempted higher than Regent and didn't win in those attempts. Of course, that was before I learned how to FIGHT. OTOH, I'm very spoiled about having the advantage over the AI, so I'd need a lot of help.
Hey, I've also won two SS games on Warlord since the AW game, so I know it's definitely time to move up. I was able to fight for MY missing resources.
