Need Help *cry*

use the original drive letter where your CD was.

D:

if not try f:

etc.

nothin :/ You guys are awesome for helpin me so much, wish I had some success here

You need to get the make and model number of your dvd/cd devices.

then find the drivers for them on the mfgs web site and download.

DONT INSTALL them just have them ready.

Once you know the path to them nuke the drives again thru device manager but dont reboot.

now install the driver you downloaded for the rom and reboot.

Going to bed now.

great idea, wonder how I go about figuring out who made them and what model they are since I built my machine...

Your DXDIAG file gives some help:

Drive: D:
Model: IDE DVD-ROM 16X
Driver: c:\winnt\system32\drivers\cdrom.sys, 5.00.2195.6655 (English), 6/19/2003 11:05:04, 27984 bytes

Drive: E:
Model: ARTEC WRR-52Z
Driver: c:\winnt\system32\drivers\cdrom.sys, 5.00.2195.6655 (English), 6/19/2003 11:05:04, 27984 bytes

So your E: drive is an ARTEC WRR-52Z. Don't know about the D: drive, though. You might actually have to crack the hood and eyeball it.
