Need help! Want to do my own "update" to the Revolution/RevDCM mod. Anyone willing to coach me?

Simply put, the RevDCM mod is kinda problematic. On epic speed, at least, revolutions happen WAY too quickly, and the "rebellious spirit" modifier is out of control. All I want to do is significantly tone done the rebellious spirit modifier and slightly slow down the rate of rebellion generation. But for the life of me, I can't find a way to do this in the mod files! None of the python or configuration .xml's show these modifiers. Please help!
