Never mind.
After I posted my pathetic cry for help (I didn't want to spend another four hours combing through files looking for problems again) I tried it one last time before I sat down and cried . . . and it worked. My mod worked.
So can someone explain to me then why a mod that showed blank image files 30 minutes ago would, all of a sudden with no editing on my part, start showing the files?
Stupid computer.
