I know the right answer is "read all the documentation" if you want to know about religion.
But my goal is to know as little as possible. I just want to play the game without going for religion. I picked Kongo because from is description they didn't care. But now England has found my continent, and is flooding my continent with little book carriers. I can't even attack them. By the way, all my cities are now England's religion!
For some reason, the game has given me 4 Apostles. I never made them, and don't know where they came from. I selected them to "eliminate religion" (the second choice upon promotion). Can I use them to fight their Apostles?
Also, as long as I have them, what's the best use of them? As you can see I am a noob. Is it possible to play the game with minimal (no) impact -from religion in- the game [-edited-]? If so, I am willing to restart.
