I can't get the T-55 russian tank to work.I have the 1.29f version so it would have been easier (or so I thought),but when I get to the point that the game should show the tank it just prompts an error. It says that the ini file is wrong.
The question is have I done something wrong?I downloaded the T-55 files from here.Put them in a folder called T-55 under units folder. Then I went to the editor and added a new unit (called T-55).Did all the nessesary adjustments to the unit (moves, attack etc..),gave it the same icon as the standard tank. But what have I not done?

Check that the ini file in the T-55 folder you created is also the same name as your unit. The unit name, folder and ini have to use the same exact name, the file comes as T55 so that '-' may have tripped you up.

Try this if it doesn't work get back to us!

I think I missed that one.Thanks.I will try that the minute I get home.

Rstart your computer before using the unit in the game. I bet thats your problem because that same exact thing happend to me before level told me and it worked fine after that. :)

Check the ini file's contents. Are all the
attack/run/default/etc flics specified and do they correspond to files of the same name in the unit directory?

Is the name of the ini file the same as the name of the unit in the Editor? (Your game will crash when you try to build the unit if it isn't).

Are the sound files specified in the ini and do they have the proper path? If the unit is using another unit's sounds then the path to the sound files must be specified relative to the unit's directory: ..\Tank\TankMove.wav for example.
