I have a question. I have played all 3 civs, but have a question on civ3 map editor. How does one start a game on a map that you have customized? I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Do I need to turn off any of the pre-sets, or what? Thanks to any or all who send their suggestions! Fnord1138@aol.com

If I understood you correctly ...
1 To place your start position - just choose start position on your map and sign that tile to your nation (player 1 -human player), before that put your "scenario" on custom for choose nation to play, same way you did for custom map (this time custom Rules!). You can choose also diferent trait, color or name for your playin' Civ
.
2 If you are already did that, just find your selected map/scenario in Scenarios at the begining of the game, click on it and start your journey! I hope I help you (a little bit) and GOOD LUCK!

Save it in the folder titled "Scenarios" the open the file by selecting the scenario option in the beginning screen place thing.
