need three musketeers advice

I'm trying to get the "three musketeers" achievement.

I have three musketeers standing together.
I tried it in a small triangle.
I tried it in a row.

What is the trick to getting this?

I took the entire Honor tree.
There is a great general standing with them too.

I have taken cities and units with this formation.

Is this achievement bugged?

If anyone got the "three musketeers" achievement ... please tell me the secret.

Yes. I'm using the French Musketeers.

All three musketeers must be adjacent to a single enemy unit. (which you then attack with one of them)

OK.

I finally got it.

The three musketeers need to partially surround the enemy unit.

I was putting them next to EACH OTHER.
That was wrong.

Basically I trapped an enemy scout up against my border ... and put my three musketeers on three hexes so that they were all immediately adjacent to the enemy. To be sure and do this right I declared war, and then attacked the enemy with the middle of the three musketeers.

It worked.

An easy way to tell if you were doing it correctly or not is when you attack you should see "flanking bonus" +30%

15% for each musketeer.
